LWV Steuben and Chemung has two member meetings each year, one in January and one in June. In addition, the LWV Steuben quarterly Board meetings are open to all members.

Virtual Winter Meeting, Sat., Jan. 21, 2023, 11 am

Your Voice + Your Vote = Civic Empowerment

Our annual mid-winter meeting will be Sat., Jan 21 at 11:00 am by Zoom. The program will feature a panel discussion with members of Your Voice + Your Vote, the new Tompkins County Civic Empowerment Coalition. Moderator: Dr. Kenneth Clarke, Director, Tompkins County Office of Human Rights, Panel: Phoebe Brown, Central NY Coordinator of the Alliance of Families for Justice, Sally Grubb, Co-President, League of Women Voters of Tompkins County, Joanna Green, Poor People’s Campaign Eastern Southern Tier Region and Tompkins County Human Rights Commission. We are happy to announce that the 2022 Students Inside Albany conference will be an in-person event. It will take place will take place May 22-25, 2022. Our representative this year will be Bram Pomplas from Bath. Update: at the last minute the event was canceled due to Covid concerns.
